XHTML Basic is designed for Web clients that cannot support the full set of XHTML features due to lack of resources or to embedded constraints.
XHTML Basic targets small information appliances like mobile phones, televisions or PDAs and in order to make the XHTML pages usable on any device
it is strongly recommended to separate the content from the rendering.
When designing NexGenSURFon® we followed these guidelines and divided
the product into three main parts: the core and all internal mechanisisms, the parsing-dependent features, and finally the rendering dependencies.
The rendering engine takes some generic events sent by NexGenSURFon® then processes them and call the Graphical User Interface to
draw the picture.
